Clove Oil

Hello all!

Let’s talk about clove oil. This is one that has saved me a lot of money. A couple of years ago I went for my 6-month cleaning at the dentist. You know how they score your gums and say “1, 2, 3, or 4”? Well a couple of mine were much lower than my previous visit. From here my hygienist sent me to the oral surgeon. Honestly, this freaked me out a bit.

It took 3 months to get into the surgeon. When I got there, he took X-Rays and told me I was going to need surgery. He was going to cut my gums open and clean my jawbone. They would then need to put bone dust on my jaw and seal it with my plasma. I thought oh wow.

In the meantime, I had been looking at all my oils and what they were used for. I found that clove was good for tooth pain and cavities, also, infection. This got me thinking and I decided to use it on my toothpaste every day. After the first time I used it I could literally feel it working in my mouth all day long. After about a week I didn’t notice the all-day cleaning sensation. I told one of my friends that, ”I think it has cleaned all the germs from mouth” . I mixed my clove oil with toothpaste on my toothbrush everyday till my surgery appointment, which was three months after my consultation.

I got to my surgical appointment; they drew blood so they could spin the plasma to on the spot. I was a little scared by this time. It never dawned on me how serious this was. So, the doctor got to work. To my surprise he says that it is not as bad as the X-ray. He cleaned it up and stitched me back up. I did not have to have bone dust put in and we did not have to use my plasma. I was so excited. I got to have disposable stitches, instead of non-disposable.

YAY to my clove oil!!! I was so excited how well the oil worked. I did tell the nurse at the dentist that I had used the clove oil and she just said “oh”.

So, to the money saving part. They told me my co-pay was $800 for the surgery, which I had to pay before surgery. In the end they refunded me $700 of that!!

It was a WIN, WIN for me!!!
