Wasps!!!! I have never figured out what they are good for. I have asked this for many years and I was told this year that they eat mosquitoes. That will give them a small pass because we have a lot of mosquitoes and I hold them in the same regard as wasps.
Have you ever been bit or stung by wasp? My body was a magnet for them last summer and fall. I was bit 4 or 5 times by the nasty bug. The first time I was in my garden pulling weeds, I got bit on the back of my thigh. It hurt, bad!! So, I ran in the house and grabbed my DoTerra Roman Chamomile Essential Oil. I put a drop on the bite and with in seconds it felt much better.
The next time was kind of a funny story. We are a proud 4-H family and raise steers and lambs for our county fair. Our youngest son Blake shows steers. They live in a nice pen with pipe for posts. Well wasps enjoy building their nests in the holes where the cable goes thru. Blake and I were going to rinse off the steers and I hit one of those holes with the water and they came flying out. One was so mad that it flew into my nose and bit me. That wasn’t good enough it turned right around and hit the other side of my nose. I was “bitch slapped” by a wasp! I have never had a broken nose, but I think this pain was just as bad. I had tears running down my face and I was using some inappropriate language. I immediately ran to the house and got my Roman Chamomile and applied it to the bites. Again, the relief came quickly, and I was able to go back out and help Blake.
The last time they attacked me I was just trying to open a gate to move the cows from one pasture to another. They came out of the gate pissed off and ready to get me. Sure enough I was not fast enough to get away. One hit the top of my hand then bounced and bit me under my watch band. Unfortunately, I was not close enough to the Roman Chamomile and my hand swelled. It swelled so bad that I could barely close my hand. I used the Roman Chamomile when I got home, and it helped but it did take a little longer. It did take the pain away pretty quick, but the swelling took longer.
Needless to say, I will be prepared this summer and carry the Roman Chamomile with me!
