Did you know that DoTerra Essential Oils are great for cleaning around your house? I use them all the time. Makes my house smell fresh and clean and I didn’t use any harmful chemicals. Before my oils I cleaned around the house and then felt like I needed to wash myself clean because of all the chemicals left on my hands. Now, I don’t feel that way.
A benefit to homemade cleaning products you get to mix them yourself, add the oils you choose. My all-purpose cleaning is in a 6 oz glass spray bottle. Remember to use glass or stainless-steel spray bottles. The Essential Oils will break down plastics. I add my OnGuard Concentrate Cleaner (about 2 Tablespoons) then the oils of my choosing, usually Lemon because it is great for removing greasy stuck on messes. I will use this all over on my counters, appliances, and the bathroom.
One of my friends got me started making my own cleaning scrub. It is great!! It has baking soda, castile soap, water and oils of your choice in it. My stainless-steel sink shines when I get done. The first time I used it, I stood and stared at how clean it got. I also use it in my bathroom for the sink and my tub. It takes the soap scum off and cleans my facets.
I also my cleansing wipes for wiping things down in my bathroom. It has vinegar, alcohol, distilled water and the oils of your choosing. Mine are usually OnGuard and Melaleuca. I love these wipes, my husband not so much. He really dislikes the smell of vinegar. Like I tell him, “You do want me to clean right?”
I just shared a few of my favorite ways to clean. Hope this can help you better use your oils in your home. I love that my oils can be used for so many things in our house.
