The Oily Farm Girl
Hi, my name is Heather Barton. I am better known as The Oily Farm Girl. I am over 40 years old and live in Western Idaho with my amazing husband, Ryan and two wonderful boys Wesley and Blake.
I am a Christian woman who has fallen in love with the healing properties of essential oil‘s. Especially doTERRA essential oil‘s. I’m a mom of two boys, Wesley who is 13 with muscular dystrophy and an 11-year-old named Blake who is very active. My husband of 15 years is the backbone to my success with the oil ‘s.
I grew up in Paso Robles, California where I was seventh generation. I grew up on a farm. One side of my family was the ranching and farming. The other side is a feed mill and a seed processing plant, San Miguel Flouring Mill, Co. To me it was the best of both worlds. As an adult I worked for our family feed mill for almost 10 years.
I have always love to be around animals and be outside working in my yard. So, it was only natural for me to take my love of oils to the barn. I have doctored and nursed several animals while growing up and as an adult. I use oils on several of animals. From simple things like a healing a scratch to helping their appetite increase or even just making them feel better. Our dog, Rone is a lover of DoTerra Balance blend. He is afraid of guns so it is used to calm him down.
When I was 37 I was introduced to doTERRA essential oils. My cousin introduced me to them with the deep blue rub for a knot in my neck. It took about 5 minutes before I was sold on oils. I could finally turn my neck. My family has been using oils ever since.
My family moved to Idaho in the summer of 2018. It came a point in time in our life where we needed to make a change for our children and have a better lifestyle where farming and ranching and the great outdoors were part of life. We love the wide open spaces that we have at our home. As well as the fishing in the summer and the hunting that the all the guys in my life enjoy.
It’s my hope that my love for oils will help you and your family love them too. Whether the oils are for you, for cooking, for your animals, or for cleaning. Let my journey encourage you to use oils daily.
