The Oily Farm Girl

Oily Farm Girl

Howdy, I am The Oily Farm Girl, Heather. I am a wife to Ryan and a mother to 2 exceptional boys, Wesley and Blake. We moved to rural Idaho a little over a year ago from California. It was the best decision we have ever made.

Okay to “The Oily Farm Girl”.  My family and I were introduced to DoTerra Oils back in 2016 thanks to my cousin Gail. She was having an “Oil Party” and I thought I would support her.  Oddly enough I had a stiff neck that day. So, Gail rubbed in some Deep Blue and Wild Orange and a few minutes later I could turn my neck. I was SOLD!! I ordered a kit and got it a few days later!! And when I got it, I just looked at it for a while. When I finally started to use the oils, I loved them, so I started using them on my husband and boys.  The results were amazing. Which meant buy more, right? So that is what we did. Finding oils, we liked, loved, and disliked (the smell).

I started to look and see how the oils could help with Muscular Dystrophy.  Our oldest son Wesley has Muscular Dystrophy and as parents we wanted to have some natural ways to help support his body. I found that Marjoram oil or “Marj” as our house calls it works great for muscle cramps. He also uses the DDR Prime to help his cells work at their best.  He also uses In Tune for focus. Rose is one of his new favorites is Rose Touch, this helps him with calming and anxious feelings.  At his last Doctor appointments, they were very pleased at how well he was doing. Thank you DoTerra!!!

Our youngest, Blake asks for oils all the time as well. He plays sports so Deep Blue is a go to. As a young boy focus tends to be a problem, so In Tune and Thinker are used often. We used the In Tune during baseball season this year and saw great results. Blake knew how well it worked for him, so he began putting it on other players. The one he uses the most is Digestzen. He has some tummy trouble every now and then. Digestzen has worked wonders for him.

Let’s not forget about my husband, Ryan. He has a love, hate relationship with my oils. He loves how the oils work, but his body has different ideas every now and then. We had learned threw a lot of searching that Ryan is sensitive to some of the oils and we have to use them carefully.

Our family loves the oils. We use them for sleep, concentration, energy, sore muscles and cooking. Oh, ya let’s not forget about all the EMOTIONS.  Ok let’s be serious, I think I can have several emotions every day, what about you? My favorite oils for my emotions Balance and Cheer.  They help calm me and bring me back to happy.

The joke at our house is “I’ve got an oil for that!!”. It doesn’t matter if it is for my family, friends or my animals.

Yes, I said my animals. I love my animals like I love my family. So why not use the oils on them? The first time I used them was on an old horse we had for the boys and he was sore in the back end.  Deep Blue to the rescue! A few drops on his hip and a few minutes later he was walking so much better. “WOW” that was awesome!! Well I couldn’t stop there; I have to use them for whatever I can. I have used them for attitude adjustments, appetite, and wounds.

Until next time, keep oiling!! Remember there is an oil for that!
